What an aerobic treatment plant does that a septic tank alone cannot
A standard septic tank settles solids and lets liquid flow out to a drainfield to soak away. A treatment plant does more work on the water before it ever reaches the yard. An aerator injects oxygen into the tank so bacteria can break the effluent down further than gravity and settling alone manage, which is why a treatment system can be the right answer on a lot where the soil will not accept a plain septic field. Reading the aerator, the alarm and the spray pattern
Most treatment plant calls start with one of three signs: the alarm sounding, the spray heads putting out cloudy or brown water instead of a clean mist, or a patch of yard staying wetter than the rest. The alarm is usually the aerator or the pump telling you something before the yard does, so it is worth answering rather than silencing. Clogged or failed spray heads are the most common single fault, and they show up as poor dispersal long before a tank backs up. On the site visit we check the aerator is actually running, look at how the field is dispersing, and walk the property for the wet spots that tell us where the field itself needs attention.

Consolidated Treatment Systems lists Seal Digging Service in its own dealer and service network for the Multi-Flo, Nayadic and Sybr-AER lines. Most treatment plant contractors will pump whatever is in the ground; fewer are set up to actually stock parts and service the specific unit under your yard. If a spray head fails or an aerator trips its alarm, that is a known fault on a known system, not a first look.

Look
We look at the yard and the old system first
Before anything comes out of the ground we want to see how the current tank or plant is actually behaving, and whether the ground itself can take a standard septic tank or needs a treatment plant instead.
Set
The plant and the field go in together
The treatment unit, the distribution field and the spray heads are set as one system, not installed piecemeal. Where they sit relative to the house and the property line depends on the lot.
Restore
Fill dirt goes back and the yard gets put together
Risers are set flush at grade so the lids can be found again. On a full install that includes the landscaping side of putting the yard back the way it looked before the excavator arrived.
