Florence, Mississippi. Working since 1968.

We put it in the ground. We come back to it.

Septic tanks, treatment plants, grease traps and lift stations across the Jackson metro. A good deal of what we service is what we installed, some of it decades ago.

The record

Fifty eight years in the same ground.

Seal Digging has installed and serviced onsite wastewater systems out of Florence since 1968. Much of the work is on systems this company put in itself, which is why the first question on a service call is usually answered before we arrive.

What we handle

Six things people call us out for.

Everything below happens on the same trucks, with the same crews, out of the same yard on US 49.

A tracked excavator bucket lifting a dense mass of tree roots out of an opened septic tank

Below the grass

Most of the job is the part nobody sees.

Roots find a tank long before a homeowner does. By the time the yard is wet or the toilets are slow, the cause has usually been building under the grass for a season or more. Opening it up is how the guessing stops.

Dealer and service provider

Consolidated Treatment Systems, fitted and maintained by the same people.

Seal Digging is listed in Consolidated’s own dealer network for the Multi-Flo, Nayadic and Sybr-AER treatment lines. It matters on the service call rather than the sales call: the crew opening your plant already knows how that model is meant to behave.

How a call runs

Look first, quote second.

You call

We ask what the yard is doing

Wet patch, smell, alarm, slow drains, or just a date you cannot remember. What the system is doing above ground usually narrows the cause before anyone drives out.

We open it up

The lid comes off before the quote

Nobody can price a tank they have not looked in. We find the lids, open the system and see what is actually happening in there, including whether it is one tank or two.

We put it back

The ground goes back the way it was

Fill dirt in, lids set at grade, the yard left usable. On installs that includes the landscaping side of putting a garden back together.

Set at grade

Lids you can find again.

A system is far cheaper to look after when the risers are at the surface and somebody can actually get a lid off. We set them so the next pump-out does not start with an hour of probing the lawn.

Seal Digging has been a gift from God. Last fall we had a large tree limb fell during a thunderstorm destroying the lid on our 40 year old metal septic tank. We are seniors on a fixed income and it would be a real financial problem to fork out $6K to replace the septic tank with a wastewater treatment system. One of their employees suggested that I check with my homeowner's policy because we do not have access to public sewer service. I did and the insurance company paid for the install and landscaping (fill dirt). Thanks Seal Digging. You have an awesome team. Everyone that we have dealt with demonstrated their knowledge and abilities to make what could have been a disaster palatable. Thanks Seal Digging, especially Tori, their office manager.

My sprinklers were clogged and passing brown water, alarm was going off and toilets were going slow. I called them up and by pure luck they had installed this system and were able to help me understand how it works and how to care for it. Excellent service and fair pricing. The technician inspected and cleared my lines, replaced a sprinkler head, and cleaned out the tanks. The bill was very reasonable considering the hours he was on site.

I called Seal Digging to come out and look at our yard that was saturated from a faulty sprinkler system with our treatment plant. We had lived in our new home for 2 years with this mess. Seal digging came out the next day and looked at our yard with immediate suggestions on how to remedy our issue. Within the next day, I had 3 new sprinkler heads installed perfectly. Over the next little while the water was dispersed properly and now we have full use of our backyard!

Great company. We have used them for Pump outs, installations on a new build, and more.

Before you call

The questions we answer most days.

For most households it lands somewhere in the three to five year range, but tank size and how many people live in the house move that number a lot. If you cannot remember the last time yours was pumped, that is usually the answer. Call us with your address and roughly how many people are on the system and we can tell you what is sensible.

Treatment plants, septic tanks, grease traps and lift stations. We install them, we pump them, and we come back and service the same systems years later. A good deal of our work is on systems we put in the ground ourselves.

Yes. We are an authorized dealer and service provider for Consolidated Treatment Systems, whose lines include Multi-Flo, Nayadic and Sybr-AER. If you have one of those on your property, you are talking to people who install and maintain them rather than someone meeting it for the first time.

That combination usually points at the treatment side of the system rather than the tank alone, and it is one of the most common calls we get. It can be a clogged line, a failed spray head, or a pump or alarm fault. It is worth looking at quickly, because a saturated yard tends to get worse rather than settle down.

Often, yes. A yard that stays saturated is usually telling you the effluent is not dispersing the way it should. We come out, look at how the system is actually behaving on your ground, and deal with the cause rather than just the wet patch.

We work out of Florence and cover Brandon, Jackson, Flowood, Byram, Madison, Canton, Flora, Raymond and Crystal Springs.

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Call (601) 845-0484 and you will get our office rather than a call centre.

Not sure whether yours is due?

Most people call us because something is already wrong. It is a cheaper call when it is not. Give us the address and roughly how many people are on the system.
